How 2PC Works:

  • Phase 1 (Prepare): Coordinator asks all participants to prepare
  • Vote Yes: Participant can commit, locks resources
  • Vote No: Participant cannot commit, transaction aborts
  • Phase 2: Coordinator sends COMMIT (all yes) or ABORT (any no)
